Join a vibrant and dynamic architecture team
You will join our Data & Information Architecture team consisting of 4 very experienced and enthusiastic informationarchitects. In time, we expect the team to include 5 information architects and 1 data architect in total.


Our overall goal is to provide standards and guidance in the grand transformation for DSV to become more data-driven – which will optimise everything from business growth to operational efficiency. Doing so, we are supportingour business units and global project initiatives with all the data guidance needed.

You draw the big lines for a completely new data model
As our new architect, you will play a major role in creating, designing, and documenting our new data model that willbe used globally in our pursuit of becoming more data-driven.

 

You will collaborate closely with other information and data architects as well as business SMEs to ensure properalignment on the model – and also with our IT team, who will be the ones to realise your plans for the model. And as we have a close interaction with our business unit, we are able to see our work become a reality.


More specifically, you will:

  • Define and document the global conceptual and logical data model, known as Enterprise Information Model.
  • Analyse business domains and processes and incorporate them into the data model
  • Help socialising the data model through the organisation by presenting it to stakeholders and collaborating withdevelopment teams during implementation
  • Ensure alignment with the industry standards and the information architecture domain’s best practices.
  • Review the physical data models and integration schemas, ensuring compliance to the Enterprise InformationModel.

A skilled architect and great communicator
With your great communication skills, you are able to interact with a wide range of colleagues across theorganisation – and you can convey your points in a clear and constructive way. Contributing to an innovativelearning environment, you are also proactive, a great listener and open to your peers’ ideas and input.

 

Additionally, we envision that you:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or similar
  • Have proven experience in information architecture, data modelling and data modelling tools
  • Understand master data management, data cataloguing, and data governance
  • Are perhaps certified in data modelling or information architecture – if not, we would still like to hear from you

 

Physical Demands
Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort.  May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.  Hours can be extensive as well as occasionally staggered for multi-shift access. While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.  The employee uses computer and telephone equipment.  Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Minimal travel maybe required for this role domestically and internationally.

 

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. For this position, the expected base pay is: $95,000 - $142,000 / Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
